GM's note: I plan to create a fresh start since my last RPs turned into spin-offs.
It is the year 4E 176, the month of Last Seed.
A year has passed since the end of the Great War. High Rock has entered a state of economical depression due to their resources being exhausted from war. High taxes and poverty were common, and protests and riots were also a common occurence in the province, albeit more rarely.
In secret, an unknown group who are said to be stationed within the border of High Rock and Skyrim are calling on adventurers via couriers, and are asking them to head for a place in the far west of the Reach where 'a madman once ruled ith an iron fist.' What the group plans is unclear, but is it related to the dire situation that has stricken the north-western province of Tamriel?
Things you should know:
- The White-Gold Concordat is still in effect throughout the Empire.
- The Empire is ruled by Titus Mede II and the Elder Council so no being Emperor or an Elder Council member.
- The city of Markarth has been retaken by Ulfric Stormcloak and his militia, with the Reachmen who survived the retaking becoming the Forsworn. The Stormcloaks doesn't exist yet.
Use these setups to create and build your character and the world around you. Heroes and Villians, anti-heroes, Intrigue, Mystery, Emotion? These things will all become clear over time, once enough people have established their roles in the roleplay.
Be a villain, be a hero, be an anti-hero, be creative, the choice is yours.
One condition though:
Take this RP seriously, do NOT be OP, and make sense!
If you feel that your writing capabilities aren't up to par, but your ideas are, discuss them with the group first. it would be a shame if your ideas fell flat because of your inability to write them down properly.
Rules:
1. You are not dragonborn or any of the TES protagonists.
2: Your character is protected from death. He/She can only be killed if you allow it. However wounds may be inflicted, but they can always be healed. (Meaning you cannot cut off a part of someone's body unless they agree.)
3. You can have one special power and one special item OR two of either, These powers are of your own making and unique to you. They shouldn't be too powerful to the point that it will kill a character in an instant.
4. You must have some sort of severe weakness. You also must be at least vulnerable to attacks. All characters should be well-balanced.
5. Daedric and Aedric Artifacts aren't allowed since many of them are considered OP. One example is Mehrune's Razor, or the Wabbajack.
6. Though there isn't a cap on characters, refrain from using more than you can handle, I wouldn't recommend any more than three at a time and I definitely wouldn't have more than six. You can control any NPC, except for SNPCs (story essential NPCs, that are important to a particular user's arch, you can control them if they allow it) you can create as many SNPCs as you need. If one user is controlling too many NPCs or has made too many SNPCs, they will be asked to cut some of them loose.
7. When attacking another character he must be allowed to retaliate 2 times, the 3rd time it will always hit unless it is lethal. The character can be incapacitated but not killed unless the character's creator accepts. (Does not apply to minor characters, story-essential characters or NPC's.)
8. You can not be overpowered under any circumstances.
9. The lore can NOT be altered, without a GM's permission.
10. You can only control your own character unless stated otherwise by the original creator of the character...
11. NO Dovah characters... Don't even ask...
12. DO NOT force other people's characters to do something.
13: Do not imprison characters unless they agree.
14: Characters must be approved by the GM before they can be used.
15: The thu'um is allowed but only 3 words of power, these 3 words cannot all be of the same shout, Thu'um counts as a power.
Also, these new 3 rules are added. Special thanks goes to Nelthro.
16. OP actions will not be tolerated, This includes killing multiple characters not letting anyone retaliate in any way, or make major changes to the plot in a single post, such as summoning/creating a massive army. Or creating absurdly powerful magic such as tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, super elementmancy, and any other fridge magic.
17. METAgaming shall never be tolerated under any circumstances whatsoever... META is when you break a rule but continue playing, ignoring rules to make you more powerful than everyone else, Or having your character know things that he or she is not meant to know. A METAgamer's post shall always be deleted immediately.
And no, you cannot pull an Divine or a Daedric Prince out of your pocket to destroy an army, town, or a province. This rule also applies to NPCs. If an Aedra or Daedric Prince is vital to a character's story, they must be approved by the GM first.
18: Do not fool around. Do not have your character fooling around for no particular reason.
19: Make characters who will contribute to the story.
20: You cannot change major plot points without a GM's permission.
21: Give players some time to react to posts.
Note: If you don't know what's going on, just ask for a recap.
